Jarosław Marycz (born April 17, 1987 ) is a Polish cyclist . He is currently under contract with the Saxo Bank team , where he mainly works as a helper. He is 1.81 meters tall, his racing weight is 69 kilograms.

Career

Marycz attended a sports college in Poland and won several national time trial championships as a junior . Even in mountainous races he was always among the best.

In 2009, the Pole just missed a victory at the European Championship when he was caught by the pursuers shortly before the finish line after attempting to break away.

Jarosław Marycz won a stage in the junior race Giro della Lunigiana in 2005 and was also second overall. In the 2007 season he won the fourth stage of the Tour du Loir-et-Cher . In 2008 Marycz and his team Fidi BC Lugano won the Tour de Berne . He was also third at La Roue Tourangelle and the Coppa della Pace .

In 2010 Marycz turned professional with the Danish team Saxo Bank .

He started his 2012 season at the Tour Down Under in Australia in January . There he should help the team captains Luke Roberts and Sérgio Paulinho to good positions in the overall standings. Marycz finished the race in 102 overall. At the beginning of February he also completed his first competition in Europe at the Trofeo Migjorn as part of the Mallorca Challenge .
