Coppa della Pace

The Coppa della Pace-Trofeo Fratelli Anelli is an Italian one-day race in road cycling .

Departure and arrival is Sant'Ermete , a district of the municipality of Santarcangelo di Romagna in the province of Rimini ( region Emilia-Romagna ). The event is usually held on Pentecost Sunday . The start and finish is at the headquarters of the main sponsor . First three large laps of approx. 23 km and then 8 smaller laps of approx. 12 km are driven.

The competition has been held since 1971 and was a one-day race an amateur race until 2004 . It has been part of the UCI Europe Tour in category 1.2 since 2005 .

The organizers are two local sports clubs, Pedale Riminese and Polisportiva Sant'Ermete .

Among the winners are some racing drivers who later won larger, more important bike races, such as Paolo Savoldelli , Evgueni Petrov , Vasil Kiryienka and Ben Swift .
