The CCC Development Team is a Polish cycling team based in Polkowice, Lower Silesia .
history
The team is run by the municipal sports club of the Lower Silesian city of Polkowice and was founded in 2000. The main sponsor was the Polish shoe manufacturer CCC from the start . In 2005 it got its first license as a Continental Team , when it mainly participated in races on the UCI Europe Tour . In 2010 it was licensed as a Professional Continental Team , as it is currently the only team from Poland to be able to take part in the UCI WorldTour . The manager is Krzysztof Korsak, who is supported by his sporting directors Robert Krajewski and Piotr Wadecki .
In September 2011 it was announced that the team should be dissolved at the end of the season. It was suspected that there were differences of opinion between the sports management and the sponsor. However, the team's operations continued uninterrupted in 2012. After the planned withdrawal of the long-standing second name sponsor Polsat , a private television broadcaster from Poland, the team has been co-financed by the Polish clothing brand Sprandi since 2015 .
In August it was announced that CCC until then under the name 2019 title sponsor in BMC Racing Team known UCI World Team , will that then as CCC team was registered, while the CCC Sprandi Polkowice under the name CCC Development Team received a license as a Continental Team .
