Szymon Wojciech Sajnok (born August 24, 1997 ) is a Polish cyclist. He is an all-rounder who competes in races on the road , on the track , on a mountain bike and cross-country races .

Athletic career

Szymon Sajnok began his cycling career on mountain bikes and in cyclo-cross races. In 2014 he became the Polish junior vice-champion in cyclo-cross racing and started at the Summer Youth Olympic Games , where he finished second in the individual time trial on the road and third in the mountain bike eliminator. In 2015 he became two-time Polish junior champion, in cyclo-cross races and in individual time trials, and won the junior race Cup of Grudziadz Town President .

In 2016 Sajnok won the silver medal in the Omnium at the U23 European Championships . In November 2016 he won the same discipline at the second run of the Track Cycling World Cup in Apeldoorn and at the fourth run of the World Cup in Los Angeles in February 2017. In the same year, he was three-time Polish champion in points , scratch and omnium.

Szymon Sajnok became world champion in the Omnium at the UCI Track World Championships 2018 in Apeldoorn . In the same year he won the overall classification of the Dookoła Mazowsza race on the road . In 2019 he became Polish U23 champion in the individual time trial .
