Mateusz Taciak (born June 19, 1984 in Kórnik ) is a Polish road cyclist.

Athletic career

As a teenager and junior, Mateusz Taciak was mainly active as a cross-country driver. In 2000 and 2002 he was the Polish runner-up in his age group. In 2005 he won part of the Kalisz-Konin stage race. In the same year and 2006 he was second in the Polish championship in the individual time trial of the U23 class. In 2007 he decided one stage each of the Alsace Tour and the Tour de Moselle for himself. In the following years he continued to win stages of smaller tours, especially in France and Switzerland , and was also regularly on the podium at Polish time trial championships.

In 2009 Taciak signed his first contract with an elite team. As a result, he mainly started in races in his home country. In 2011 he won a stage of the Tour of Qinghai Lake Chinese race . In 2012 he was the overall winner of the Dookoła Mazowsza stage race , in 2015 by Szlakiem Grodów Piastowskich and in 2016 the Bałtyk-Karkonosze Tour and the Tour of Małopolska .
