Alan Banaszek (born October 30, 1997 in Warsaw ) is a Polish cyclist .
Athletic career
Alan Banaszek comes from a cycling family. His father Bogdan was a cyclist, as was his uncle Dariusz Banaszek , president of the Polish Cycling Federation since 2016. His cousins Adrian and Norbert are also successful as cyclists.
In 2015 Banaszek became the European junior champion in road racing . In the following year he won the national title in the points race on the track and finished tenth in the U23 race at the road world championships .
2017 was the most successful year for Banaszek to date: he won three UCI road races and became European points championship in Berlin in October . The following year he finished second behind Dylan Groenewegen in the fourth stage of the Tour of Norway . In 2019 he was again Polish championship points race.
