Maciej Paterski (born September 12, 1986 in Krotoszyn ) is a Polish road cyclist .

Career

Maciej Paterski was Polish runner-up in the U23 road race in 2007 and took 27th place in the U23 road race at the road cycling world championships in Stuttgart . The next year he won a stage at the Giro delle Regioni and was third in the individual time trial at the national U23 championships. At the Tour de l'Avenir , he won the points classification.

After riding as a stagiaire at Liquigas in 2009 , he received his first regular contract with an international cycling team there the following year . He drove for this team three times in the Vuelta a España and once in the Tour de France . In 2014 he switched to the Polish CCC Polsat Polkowice team and won the Tour of Norway , among others . In 2015 he won the first stage of the Tour of Catalonia in a sprint of a three-man leading group and thus his first WorldTour race . In the same year he won the overall ranking of the Tour of Croatia , in 2017 he won two tours with the Szlakiem Walk Majora Hubala and the Tour of Małopolska .

In 2014 Paterski was awarded the Bronze Cross of Merit of the Republic of Poland .
