Sylwester Janiszewski (born January 24, 1988 in Katowice ) is a Polish cyclist .

Athletic career

Sylwester Janiszewski began his career in 2008 with the Polish Continental Team Legia . In his first year there, he won the one-day race Otwarcie Sezonu Szosowego and he was ninth in the World Military Championship . In the next year he took fifth place there. From 2010 he drove for CCC Polsat Polkowice . In 2012 he finished third in the road race of the Polish championship.

In 2015 Janiszewski won a stage from Szlakiem Grodów Piastowskich and in 2017 a stage from Bałtyk-Karkonosze Tour . In 2018 he won the overall and points assessment as well as two stages at the Course de la Solidarité Olympique, and in 2019 the Grand Prix Doliny Baryczy migród .

doping

In 2012 Janiszewski won the one-day race Memoriał Henryka Łasaka . He was stripped of the victory because he tested positive for the steroid androstenedione . The victory was revoked and he was banned from one race. His victory the next day in the Puchar Uzdrowisk Karpackich race was recognized.
