Janusz Paradowski

Janusz Paradowski (born December 10, 1930 in Warsaw ; † January 31, 2013 there ) was a Polish cyclist and national champion in cycling .

Athletic career

Paradowski won the Polish cyclo- cross championship in 1956 after finishing second behind Stanisław Królak the previous year . He was also able to record a stage win in the domestic Tour of Poland , as did many others in the following years (eight in total). In 1957 he won two stages, but could not place in one of the top places in the overall standings. He also had a day's success on the Tour of Egypt . He won two more Polish championship titles with victory in the team time trial and the road race in 1959. In addition, there were other medals in his career in the championships in road racing, mountain driving, team time trial and cross-country racing. He started three times for Poland at the UCI Road World Championships , in 1957 he had his best result with 59th place. He drove the International Peace Tour in 1957 and turned 40.
