The Virtu Cycling team is a Danish cycling team based in Herning .

The team was founded in 2006 under the name Vision Bikes , rode in 2007 as Vision Bikes-Løgstør Parkhotel , in 2008 under the name Team Løgstør-Cycling for Health and in 2009 as Blue Water-Cycling for Health . From 2006 to 2009 the team took part in the UCI Continental Circuits as a Continental Team . They drive most of the races in Europe. The manager is Jacob Nielsen , who is supported by the sporting directors Jan Bojsen, Anders Fialla , Michael Gregersen, Michael Guldhammer, Frank Hyldgaard, Allan Johansen , Brian Petersen and Preben Svenningsen. The team will be equipped with bicycles from the brand Vision. Sponsor from 2007 to 2008 was the Danish hotel chain Løgstør Parkhotel.

In 2010 the team merged with Designa Køkken to form the Designa Køkken-Blue Water team . The team has been independent again since 2012 and has a license as a Continental team again. In 2014 the team merged with the TreFor team .

In July 2016, the winner of the 1996 Tour de France Bjarne Riis , whose son Thomas Nybo rode for the team, took over the team together with Lars Seier, the former CEO of Saxo-Bank, via the operating company Virtu Cycling Group , after the previous sponsor was announced gave up his engagement at the end of the year. The team, renamed Team Virtu Pro-Veloconcept , was to serve as a junior team for a UCI WorldTeam in the future . However, the team disbanded at the end of the 2018 season due to a lack of sponsors.
