UCI track world championships 1921

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Piet Moeskops became the world champion of professional sprinters.

The 17th UCI Track World Championships took place from July 30th to August 8th 1921 in Ordrup near Copenhagen .

German and Austrian athletes were still not allowed to participate in these world championships, as their cycling associations were excluded from the Union Cycliste Internationale after the First World War . Before the World Championships, the USA applied for the two associations to be re-admitted to the UCI, but this failed due to the negative attitude of the English cycling association.

The 100-kilometer stand-up race for amateurs was no longer held. Instead, a street race for amateurs was held.
