UCI Road World Championships 1921

The 1921 UCI Road World Championship was held in Copenhagen and was the first road racing world championship in the history of cycling. Only amateurs were allowed to race because, according to the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), there were too few professionals for a separate race.

Race course

The racetrack ran over 190 kilometers. World champion was 27-year-old Swede Gunnar Sköld . He achieved an hourly average of 30.2 kilometers.
