UCI Road World Championships 1993

The 60th UCI Road World Championships took place from August 25 to 29, 1993 in the Norwegian city of Oslo . A total of five decisions were made in the disciplines of team time trials and road races, each in the categories women and men, and in the amateurs road race for men.

Armstrong released himself from the top group by climbing an incline in the final lap and could no longer be caught. Miguel Induráin opened the target sprint for the pursuers and even kept sprint specialist Olaf Ludwig at a distance.
