UCI Road World Championships 1994

The 61st UCI Road World Championships in 1994 took place from August 21 to 28 in the Italian city of Agrigento . A total of seven decisions were made in the disciplines of time trial and road races, each in the categories women, men and men amateurs, and in the team time trial for men and women. The individual time trial competitions were part of a world championship for the first time, but the team time trial competitions were part of the program for the last time.

On the mountainous terrain, Rolf Sørensen broke away from the top group in the final part . The pursuers waited a long time until Leblanc came first, overtook Sörensen and took the victory. The other pursuers also passed Sörensen, who only finished 6th.
