Valentina Nikolajewna Polchanowa ( Russian Валентина Николаевна Полханова ; born August 15, 1971 in Saransk ) is a former Russian cyclist .

From the 1990s to the 2000s, Valentina Polchanowa was one of the strongest female road cyclists in the world. She was twice road world champion in the team time trial with the Russian team .

In 1994 she won the overall ranking of the Grande Boucle Féminine . In 1998 she won the Ster Zeeuwsche Zeelanden race and in 2003 the Tour of Thuringia . In 1999 she was third in the individual time trial Chrono des Nations and in 2000 in the Giro d'Italia Femminile stage race .
