Karol-Ann Canuel (born April 18, 1988 in Amos ) is a Canadian cyclist .
Athletic career
In 2006, Karol-Ann Canuel became Canadian champion in the junior road race, in the individual time trial she finished third. In 2008 she became vice-champion of the youngsters in the individual time trial and the following year she was third in the road race. In 2011 she was second overall in the Tour de Bretagne and fourth in the Circuit de la Haute-Vienne .
In 2013 Canuel won a stage of the Tour Cycliste Féminin International de l'Ardèche and took place in the overall ranking. In 2014 she and her team Specialized-lululemon won the team time trial of Open de Suède Vårgårda , which is part of the Cycling World Cup . At the World Championships in the same year, the team won the title in the team time trial, in the individual time trial they came in sixth. The following year, Canuel was again world champion in the time trial with her then Velocio-SRAM team . Also in 2015 she became two-time Canadian champion in road racing and in the individual time trial. In 2016 she became world champion in team time trial for the third time and won this discipline with her team at the Open de Suède Vårgårda and the Holland Ladies Tour .
In 2017, Canuel finished second in the team time trial at the road world championships . The strong Boels team also won the team time trials of the Giro d'Italia Femminile and the Open de Suède Vårgårda with Canuel .
