Floortje Mackaij (born October 18, 1995 in Woerden ) is a Dutch cyclist .

Athletic career

Floortje Mackaij started speed skating when she was eight, and in summer she cycled to train. From 2011 she drove the first bike races.

In 2013 Mackaij became Dutch junior champion in the individual time trial and in the same year she won the silver medal at the European Junior Championships in the individual time trial.

From 2014 Floortje Mackaij started with women. In 2015, at the age of 19, in extremely adverse weather conditions, she won the women's edition of the classic Gent – ​​Wevelgem . Just a few days earlier, she had taken second place in Quer durch Flanders .

In September 2017 Mackaij became world champion in the team time trial with the Sunweb team . In 2018 she won two stages and the points classification of the Tour de Feminin .
