Koen Bouwman (born December 2, 1993 in Ulft ) is a Dutch cyclist .

Career

Koen Bouwman won his first international victory on the fifth stage of the U23 stage race Giro della Valle d'Aosta . That year he also won the mountain classification of the Tour de Normandie .

In 2016 he joined the UCI WorldTeam Lotto NL-Jumbo , where he had already been a stagiaire the previous year . In 2017 he won the third stage of the Critérium du Dauphiné in a sprint of a six-person breakaway group , and thus his first race in the UCI WorldTour .

In August 2019, the then 25-year-old became European champion and in September also world champion in the mixed relay .
