Linda Jackson

Linda Jackson (born November 13, 1958 in Montreal ) is a former Canadian cyclist and current sports director .

Linda Jackson was Canadian champion six times, in 1995, 1997 and 1998 in road racing , in 1996, 1997 and 1998 in individual time trial . At the 1994 Commonwealth Games in Victoria , she won the silver medal in road racing. In 1996 she finished third at the World Road Racing Championships and finished ninth at the Olympic Games in Atlanta ; that same year she won the Tour of Toona .

In 1997 Jackson won two national titles, was second overall in the Giro d'Italia Femminile , third in the Grande Boucle Féminine and won the Tour de l'Aude Cycliste Féminin . In 1998 she won two more national titles and the Women's Challenge , finished second again in the Giro and won another silver medal at the Commonwealth Games , this time in the individual time trial.

In 2000, Linda Jackson stepped back from active cycling, even though they are for the Olympic Games in Athens had qualified. The reason she gave was that she wanted to have a child. Since 2005 she has been Tournament Director and manager of women's cycling - Team TIBCO-To The Top , which she herself founded.
