Philipp Hager (born July 25, 1982 in Scheibbs ) is an Austrian writer .

life and work

Hager grew up in Lunz am See , Lower Austria. In 2000 he graduated from Scheibbs' upper secondary school and moved to Vienna to study history and ethnology. After the demolition, he worked as a dog sitter, telephone operator , receptionist , referee , bouncer and proofreader, among other things . Between 2003 and 2007 he worked as a reporter and columnist for the German FightMagazine .

In his books, the author says, "who prefers the true, uncomfortable, uncompromising and loud (er) life to the pop ideal". Stories of life, "in a casual, boyish style that skilfully integrates colloquial expressions and formulations into an aesthetic total work of art".

His latest novel, Wolkenjagd, was published in March 2018.

He currently lives and works in Lower Austria.
