UCI Road World Championships 1995

The 62nd UCI Road World Championships in 1995 took place from October 4th to 8th in the Colombian city of Duitama . A total of five decisions were made in the disciplines of time trial and road racing as well as in the categories women, men and men amateurs.

Olano escaped from the leading group in the final lap on a flat section, as favorite Induráin did not pursue his compatriot. On the last climb, Pantani broke away and only Induráin could follow. Olano remained safe despite a flat tire, and Induráin defeated Pantani in the sprint for second place.
