The 1922 UCI Road World Championship was held in Liverpool on August 3rd . There were only amateur drivers at the start .

Race course

The drivers had to cover a distance of 161 kilometers. With an hourly average of 31.2 kilometers, the 28-year-old Englishman Dave Marsh won . At the finish he had a lead of 1:20 minutes over the runner-up. The first three places were won by local drivers.
