UCI Road World Championships 1923

The 1923 UCI Road World Championship took place in Zurich on August 25th . Again only drivers from the amateur camp took part.

Race course

The 22-year-old Libero Ferrario from Italy became the new world champion on the 164-kilometer circuit . He achieved an hourly average of 32.8 kilometers. Among those placed were German athletes for the first time, Alois Schneidewind was the best German as 14th.
