Alison Kerry Dunlap (born July 27, 1969 in Denver ) is a former American cyclist and world champion, who competed in races on the road , cross-country and mountain bike .

Alison Dunlap was American cycling champion seven times : six times in cyclocross and once in cross country . In 2000 she finished second in the Mountain Bike World Cup , which she won in 2002. In 2001 she was also world champion in cross country .

At the UCI Road World Championships in 1994 Dunlap finished third in the team time trial , with Deirdre Demet-Barry , Eve Stephenson and Jeannie Golay . In 1993 she was third in the US championship in road racing , in 1996 again and second in the individual time trial . In 1994 she won the International Women's Tour of Thuringia and in 2000 the Redlands Cycling Classic .

Alison Dunlap started twice in the Olympic Games: in 1996 in Atlanta she was 37th in the road race, in 2000 in Sydney seventh in cross country.

Since she retired from active cycling in 2009, Dunlap has been running a mountain bike adventure camp in Moab .
