UCI Mountain Bike World Championships

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The UCI Mountain Bike World Championships , meanwhile: UCI Mountain Bike & Trials World Championships , have been held annually at different locations by the UCI World Cycling Federation since 1990 . There are competitions in the disciplines of Cross Country , Downhill , Four Cross (since 2002) and Trial (men since 1992, women since 2001). The dual or dual slalom discipline existed for two years from 2000 until it was replaced by Four Cross. Since 2003, the World Cycling Federation has also been organizing the mountain bike marathon world championships in the marathon discipline . In 2016 the downhill, four cross and trial disciplines were held separately. The Eliminator (XCE) discipline was held in 2017 and 2018 as part of the UCI Urban Cycling World Championships .

The UCI World Championship in Mountain Bike Trials (Trials) has been part of the Urban Cycling World Championships since 2017 . The UCI Urban Cycling World Championships took place in Chengdu / China in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
