Esther Süss (born March 19, 1974 in Villigen ) is a Swiss mountain biker ( marathon and cross country ).
Athletic career
Through her acquaintance with her current partner and supervisor Erich Birchler, she came to cycling in 1998; after taking part in hobby races, she won the marathon title at the MTB World Games in Saalbach-Hinterglemm in 2003 .
In 2005 and 2006, Esther Süss drove for the Ghost International Racing Team , switched to the Wheeler Swiss Team in 2007 and to the Wheeler iXS Pro Team the following year .
Her greatest sporting success was the world championship title in the marathon in St. Wendel (D) on August 8, 2010. In June 2018, the 44-year-old won the Black Forest Ultra Bike Marathon on the ultra distance (116.9 km).
Esther Süss lives in Küttigen , where she works 50% of the time as a TW teacher at primary school.

- On March 4, 2011, Esther Süss was voted Aargau Sportswoman of the Year 2010.
