Kathrin Stirnemann (born October 22, 1989 ) is a Swiss mountain biker who specializes in the Eliminator discipline.

Athletic career

Kathrin Stirnemann already celebrated great success in her youth. In 2007, at the age of 18, she became the Swiss Junior Champion and won the gold medal at the European Championships . A year later, Stirnemann became vice European champion in the U23 category.

She has been a professional athlete since May 2012. In 2014 and 2017, Stirnemann became world champion in the Eliminator discipline. In 2014, 2015 and 2017 she also won the European Championship in the same discipline.

Stirnemann is federal. dipl. Clerk. Her father Beat was the junior national coach of Switzerland for a long time, brother Matthias is also a mountain bike professional.
