The 2010 Mountain Bike Marathon World Championships took place from August 6th to 8th in St. Wendel , Germany .

The men's race was decided in the sprint at the end. The first six drivers crossed the finish line within 10 seconds. Last year the winner Alban Lakata from Austria finished second behind the Belgian Roel Paulissen . Paulissen gave a positive doping test at the Belga Cup at the beginning of the year and resigned immediately.

In the women's category, the Swiss Esther Süss won ahead of the reigning world and Olympic champion Sabine Spitz from Germany, to whom she was barely defeated in the previous year.
