from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 2005 Mountain Bike Marathon World Championships took place on August 20 as part of the Birkebeinerrittet Marathon in Lillehammer . The marathon ran over a largely technically undemanding route, so that the course of the race was similar to that of a road race. Many cross-country specialists took part, who were also successful.
