Eva Lechner (born July 1, 1985 in Bolzano ) is an Italian cyclist who is active on the road and in mountain biking - as well as in cross-country racing .

Career

Eva Lechner, who began her sporting activity Eppaner cycling club Dynamic Bike Team, has lived her childhood in Appiano , the graduation did they (now Technical School of Tourism and biotechnology) at the Technical School of Social Affairs in Merano obtained.

In 2007, she was in Genoa Italian champion in the road race .

Lechner was the relay world champion at the mountain bike world championships in 2009 , 2012 and 2013 . In cross country she won bronze medals in 2010 and mountain bike world championships in 2011 . She was the Italian elite cross country champion in 2012, 2014 and 2016 . In this discipline, it was 2007 U23 European champion and finished in the 2012 Olympics 17th place In the 2016 Summer Olympics took them in Rio de Janeiro in cross-country to 18th place.

In cyclocross, Lechner won the Italian elite title nine times between 2009 and 2018. She won the silver medal at the 2015 Cyclocross World Championships , in 2016 she was seventh in Heusden-Zolder, Belgium and in 2017 she was sixth as the best Italian.

In the 2018 season she starts in the CLIF Pro Team. In the 2019 season she starts for the Belgian team Creafin - TÜV Süd.
