Valeria Cappellotto (born January 28, 1970 in Noventa Vicentina , † September 17, 2015 in Marano Vicentino ) was an Italian cyclist.
Athletic career
Valeria Cappellotto was the younger sister of the road world champion from 1997, Alessandra Cappellotto . In 1995 and 1996 she won the Trofeo Alfredo Binda , two years later the Giro della Toscana Femminile . In 1999 she was Italian champion in the road race after it was already 1990 and 1991 runner-and in the same year Fifth of world championship road race .
Twice Cappellotto launched at the Olympic Games in the road race: 1992 in Barcelona she was ranked No. 17 and in 2000 in Sydney rank 31. In the 2000 UCI Road World Championships was 13th in the road race. After this season, she ended her cycling career.
Valeria Cappellotto died of serious illness in September 2015 at the age of 45.
