Greg Minnaar
Greg Minnaar (* 13. November 1981 in Pietermaritzburg ) is a downhill - mountain bike poker pro from Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. In 2001, 2005 and 2008 he won the Downhill World Cup , in 2003, 2012 and 2013 he was Downhill World Champion .
The South African mountain bike race has been contested since 1995 . In 2001, 2005 and 2008 Minnaar won the UCI Downhill World Cup , in which he was third in 2006. At the mountain bike world championships he won a total of two gold, two silver and two bronze medals in the downhill discipline .
Until 2007 he drove with Matti Lehikoinen and Brendan Fairclough for the G Cross Honda team . Since 2008, Greg Minnaar fights with Steve Peat and Josh Bryceland for the team Syndicate from Santa Cruz to Downhill - World Cup points .
It is sponsored by the American sports brand O'Neal.
