Fabien Barel
Fabien Barel (born July 26, 1980 in Nice ) is a French mountain bike professional from Peille , who is particularly successful in the downhill discipline .
In 1995 Barel began to ride downhill in Peille, France. After the Kona Downhill Team disbanded after the 2007 season, Fabien Barel competed in the UCI Downhill World Cup for the French Subaru MTB Pro Team from 2008 to 2012 .
Barel has been riding for the newly founded Canyon Bicycles Factory Enduro Team since 2013 .
His greatest successes include the gold medals in Les Gets in 2004 and in Livigno in 2005 at the UCI Downhill Mountain Bike World Championships as well as the silver medal in Fort William in 2007 .
