Myles Rockwell

Myles Rockwell (born August 19, 1972 in Durango ) is an American cyclist and world champion who is active in mountain bike races.

Myles Rockwell was active as a mountain bike rider from 1992 to 2000. In his last active year he became world champion in downhill . In previous years he had regularly placed in the top ten at world championships, and in 1993 he was third. He also achieved top places in mountain bike world cups , and in 1995 he also came third.

After his temporary retirement from active cycling, Rockwell struggled with personal and financial problems. In 2004 the police discovered a small marijuana plantation in his apartment ; he received a brief prison term and had to attend a rehabilitation program.

Rockwell has been back in mountain bike races since 2012 as a member of the Trek World Racing team . He is married to the cyclist Willow Koerber for the second time .
