Manuel (Filip) Fumic (born March 30, 1982 in Kirchheim / Teck ) is a German racing cyclist in the cross country mountain bike discipline .

Career

The brother of Lado Fumic scored his biggest success in the U23 class in which he 2004 World and European Champion and was 2001 to 2004 German champions.

Both Fumic brothers rode for the fumic.brothers.international cycling team they founded after Deutsche Telekom withdrew from sponsoring mountain bikes in 2007. As of 2010, Manuel has signed up for Cannondale Factory Racing . On June 20, 2015, Manuel Fumic became German champion of the elite in cross country for the third time and on July 23, 2017 for the fourth time. In July 2015 he also won the gold medal in the 2015 European Mountain Bike Championships with Ben Zwiehoff , Max Brandl and Helen Grobert in the relay competition.

In June 2020, Fumic fell while training and was seriously injured: he suffered a broken shoulder blade, broken ribs, a broken collarbone and a bruised lung.
