Mountain bike world championships 2003
The 16th Mountain Bike World Championships took place from August 31 to September 7, 2003 . The Swiss city of Lugano is officially stated as the venue , but the actual races took place near Rivera on Monte Tamaro . Mountain bike marathon world championships were also held for the first time . Future mountain bike marathon world championships were held as independent competitions.
