Irina Nikolaevna Kalentjewa
Irina Kalentieva ( Russian Ирина Николаевна Калентьева , also Irina Kalentieva * 10. November 1977 in Norwasch-Schigali , Chuvash ASSR , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian mountain biker with the special discipline Cross Country , which in this discipline twice world champion was (2007 , 2009).
Career
Irina Kalentjewa grew up in the Volga region . In 2000 she was the first Russian Cross Country Champion. At the international level, she won first medals in this discipline in this discipline in 2003 as third in each case at the World and European Championships.
In 2003 she moved her residence from Russia to Aalen , after winning the overall ranking of the German Mountain Bike Bundesliga in 2002. Her greatest career successes came with the world championship titles in cross country in 2007 and 2009.
In 2008 she finished third at the Beijing Olympics.
