Kateřina Nash , née Hanušová (born December 9, 1977 in Prachatice ) is a Czech cyclist and former cross-country skier .

Cross-country skier

Nash took part in cross-country skiing competitions organized by the Fédération Internationale de Ski from 1993 to 2004 . In 1993 she won the bronze medal in the 7.5 km freestyle at the European Youth Olympic Winter Days in Aosta . At the Junior World Ski Championships in 1994 in Breitenwang , she won gold with the relay and at the Junior World Ski Championships in 1995 in Gällivare silver with the relay. Her first of a total of 24 World Cup races she ran in January 1996 in Nove Mesto , which she finished classically in 57th place over 10 km. In December 1996 she got her first World Cup points with 28th place in the 15 km freestyle in Davos . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1997 in Trondheim , she achieved 36th place over 15 km freestyle. Her best placement at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano was 22nd place over 5 km classic. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1999 in Ramsau am Dachstein , she finished 33rd over 5 km classic and over 15 km freestyle and 19th place in the 15 km pursuit race. In January 2001 she reached in Soldier Hollow with 18th place in the 10 km pursuit race, her best placement in a World Cup individual race. At the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City she came in 40th place over 30 km classic, 20th place in the 15 km mass start race and fourth place with the relay.

Cyclist

After the 2002 Winter Olympics, Nash dedicated himself to cycling and joined MTB teams. By 2014 she was five times Czech cycling champion , three times in cyclocross and twice in the MTB discipline cross country . In 2007 she finished third at the European Cross Country Championships. At the cyclocross world championships in 2011 she was also third. She has won the Cyclocross World Cup three times : 2010 in Roubaix , 2011 in Tábor and 2014 in Namur .
