Ramona Forchini (born June 14, 1994 ) is a Swiss cyclist from Toggenburg. She is multiple Swiss road champion (2010, 2012), U19 World Cup winner (2011) and U23 world champion in mountain bike cross-country (2015).

Athletic career

In 2010 and 2012, Ramona Forchini became Swiss junior champion in road races and in the same year came fifth in the junior individual time trial at the road world championships . In the following year she won the bronze medal in the XCE discipline at the European Mountain Bike Championships . In 2014 she won another bronze medal, but now at the U23 European Road Championships in the individual time trial. In 2015 she became U23 world champion (U23) in the XCO discipline. At the Mountain Bike World Championships 2016 she came third in the XCE behind her compatriots Linda Indergand and Kathrin Stirnemann .

2017 Forchini recommended due to their performance on the road tour Tour d'Ardèche (Maillot blanc and rouge Maillot) to participate in the road world championships in the Norwegian mountains . In the time trial , she was 26 and in the road race 44. In February 2019 she won in Oropesa del Mar , the four-day mountain bike stage race Mediterranean Epic . She was able to repeat this success in 2020.
