Christophe Dupouey (born August 8, 1968 in Tarbes , France , † February 4, 2009 there ) was a French cyclist .

Dupouey began his career at the 1989 World Championships in cyclocross , where he took second place. In 1995 he took part for the first time in the European Championship in Cross Country , where he reached second place. In 1996 and 1998 he won the European championship. At the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta , Cross Country was Olympic for the first time; Dupouey finished fourth. In 1998 he became world champion in cross country.

In 2006 he was sentenced to three months probation for his involvement in a doping affair . Dupouey, who was considered depressed and last operated a bicycle rental business in France, died of suicide in February 2009 .
