Cristian Salvato (born August 18, 1971 in Campo San Martino ) is a former Italian cyclist .
In 1989, Cristian Salvato was together with Davide Rebellin , Andrea Peron and Rossano Brasi youth world champion in team driving . In 1991 and 1993 he won the gold medal with the Italian team at the Mediterranean Games in the same discipline; In 1991 he was also third in the individual time trial at the national amateur championship. In 1993 and 1994 he was world champion in the amateur team time trial with the Italian team . Also in 1993 he won together with Gianfranco Contri at the Duo Normand . Then he became a professional.
In 1996 Salvato started in the Tour de France and finished 94th overall. In 1997 he was third in the Italian championship in the individual time trial and won the GP d'Europe with Dario Andriotto , in which he finished third again in 1998.
