Mario Maino
Mario Maino (born October 8, 1940 in Villaverla ) is a former Italian cyclist and world champion, as well as national champion in cycling .
Athletic career
In 1962 he won the team time trial title at the UCI Road World Championships together with Danilo Grassi , Dino Zandegu and Antonio Tagliani . At the Tour de l'Avenir in the same year he was able to finish second. A year later he won the silver medal at the World Championships, also in the team time trial. In this discipline he was also Italian champion in 1963. After the end of the season in 1963 he became a professional driver and drove for various Italian teams until 1967 , but without winning.
