Rosario Fina

Rosario Fina (born March 23, 1969 in San Cataldo ) is an Italian cyclist and world champion in cycling .

Athletic career

In 1987 he was winner of the UCI World Cup of juniors in the team time trial . He won the Coppa San Geo , one of the most important races for amateurs in Italy, in 1991. In 1992, he was Italian vice-champion among the amateurs . Then in 1993 his greatest success followed when he became world champion in the team time trial in Oslo together with Rossano Brasi , Gianfranco Contri and Cristian Salvato . For the next season he signed a contract as a professional driver with the Italian team Mercantone-Uno and also contested the Tour de France in his first season as a professional . However, he did not finish the Tour de France 2014 and retired on the 18th stage. A year later he had to end the Tour de France early. In 1994 he was the Italian runner-up in the individual time trial . In 1996 he won a stage of the Aragon Tour .

He sells his own bikes under the name Cicli Fina .
