Danilo Grassi

Danilo Grassi (born January 1, 1941 in Lonate Pozzolo ) is a former Italian cyclist and world champion and national champion in cycling .

Athletic career

In 1962 he won the team time trial title at the UCI Road World Championships with Mario Maini , Dino Zandegu and Antonio Tagliani . A year later he won the silver medal at the World Championships, also in the team time trial. In this discipline he was also Italian champion in 1963. In 1963 he competed in the International Peace Tour and finished the tour in 51st place. After the end of the 1963 season he became a professional driver and drove for various Italian teams until 1967. In 1965 he was able to win a stage in the Giro d'Italia , in the overall classification he was 79. A year later he ended his career.
