Virginie Cueff (born June 18, 1988 in Gouesnou ) is a former French track cyclist .

Athletic career

Virginie Cueff won five medals at junior European championships from 2008, and in 2008 she became European champion (U23) in team sprint with Sandie Clair . At the UCI Track World Championships in 2007 and 2008 , the two drivers finished fourth in the same discipline. In the Keirin , sprint and 500-meter time trial several times she took silver and bronze medals since of 2006. She has also been on the podium repeatedly in these disciplines at races in the Track Cycling World Cup and French championships.

In 2013, Cueff became French sprint champion, and the following year she won three national championship titles, in sprint, keirin and 500-meter time trial. In 2015 she became vice European champion in the Keirin.

In 2016 Virginie Cueff was nominated to participate in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . In both the sprint and the keirin she finished twelfth, together with Sandie Clair she was sixth in the team sprint . Then she announced her retirement from competitive cycling.
