Isabelle Nicoloso

Isabelle Nicoloso (born February 13, 1961 in Domont ) is a former French track cyclist .

For 20 years, from 1980 to 2000, Isabelle Nicoloso was one of France's leading sprinters on the track. She was French champion nine times, in the sprint, but also in the single pursuit and points race .

In 1985 Isabelle Nicoloso became world champion in the sprint at the title fights in Bassano del Grappa . In 1986 she won the prestigious sprint classic Grand Prix de Paris .

In 1987 Nicoloso tested positive for doping. She was given a six-month ban and a small fine.

After 2000, Isabelle Nicoloso continued racing on the road for a few years.

Isabelle Nicoloso is married to the male nurse Jean-Yves Verger, who was sentenced to three years in prison in 2003 as part of the “Béon affair” for trafficking in the doping mixtures “ pot belge ” and “pot néerlandais”.
