Mitchell Mulhern (born January 22, 1991 in Brisbane ) is an Australian cyclist who competes in races on track and road .
Athletic career
Mitchell Mulhern began cycling at the age of 15 after seeing track cycling competitions at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne . The next day he went to the nearest bike shop and bought a racing bike.
In 2009 Mulhern was together with Michael Hepburn , Jordan Kerby and Thomas Richards Australian junior champion in the team pursuit . In 2012 he won the bronze medal in the single pursuit at the Oceania Championships . After winning the team pursuit at the Track Cycling World Cup in Aguascalientes with the Australian four-man at the end of 2013 , he became world champion in this discipline a few months later together with Luke Davison , Glenn O'Shea , Alexander Edmondson and Miles Scotson .
