Regan Gough (born October 6, 1996 in Otane ) is a New Zealand cyclist who competes on track and road .

Athletic career

In 2014 Regan Gough was two-time junior world champion , in the points race and with Luke Mudgeway in the two-man team . He also won silver in the single pursuit and bronze in the team pursuit .

At the 2015 UCI Track World Championships , he replaced Marc Ryan in the final of the team pursuit and won the gold medal with Pieter Bulling , Alex Frame and Dylan Kennett . He was also fourth in the points race.

In 2016 he took fourth place in the team pursuit (with Pieter Bulling, Aaron Gate and Dylan Kennett) at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . The following year he was runner-up in the team pursuit with Pieter Bulling, Dylan Kennett and Nick Kergozou . At the UCI Track World Championships 2020 in Berlin , the New Zealand four won the silver medal with Gough, Corbin Strong , Aaron Gate, Jordan Kerby and Campbell Stewart.

His cousin Westley Gough was also a cyclist.
