Lyubomyr Polatajko

Lyubomyr Polatajko (born November 21, 1979 in Nadwirna ) is a former Ukrainian track and road cyclist.

2001 Ljubomyr Polatajko was together with Serhij Tschernjawskyj , Oleksandr Fedenko and Oleksandr Symonenko in Antwerp world champion in the team pursuit . In 2002 he won the scratch race at the track cycling world cup in Moscow . The following year he won the silver medal at the European Omnium Championship. At the UCI Track World Championships in Bordeaux in 2006 , he won the bronze medal in the team pursuit together with Wolodymyr Djudja , Mychajlo Kononenko and Maxym Polishchuk and the silver medal in the two-man team driving together with Wolodymyr Rybin . In 2007 he was second in the team pursuit with the Ukrainian national team at the World Railroad Championships in Palma .

In 2008 Polatajko started at the Olympic Games in Beijing . He finished 15th in the two-man team race and ninth in the team pursuit. In 2010 he ended his cycling career.
