Vitaly Shchedov

Vitaly Shchedov ( Ukrainian Віталій Щедов ; * July 31, 1987 ) is a Ukrainian cyclist who is primarily successful on the track .

Vitaly Shchedov won the gold medal in the individual and team pursuit at the 2004 European Championships in Valencia . The following year he finished second in the singles pursuit. At the Track Cycling World Cup 2006/2007 , he won the team pursuit at the World Cup in Los Angeles . A little later he won the silver medal in the team pursuit at the 2007 World Championships in Palma .

In 2008 Shchedov was U23 European champion in the single pursuit and represented his country at the Olympic Games in Beijing , where he and his team were ninth in the team pursuit. The following autumn he won the Ukrainian championship titles in time trial , single pursuit and points trial

In the Track Cycling World Cup 2009/10 he won the single pursuit run in Beijing.
